We are...

We are Nicolás and María, a Venezuelan couple with Italian roots, and our son Nico, the heart of our home. More than eleven years ago we moved to Spain, and living in Barcelona, Sevilla and Madrid showed us how many different cultures can live inside one country. Traveling through other countries also let us reconnect with part of our family’s culture and rediscover the flavors they grew up with.
There we learned to value simplicity. Local food, and food where nothing goes to waste: a few vegetables turned into escalivada or eggplant in vinaigrette, a good loaf of bread, a homemade tomato sauce, or the fresh ricotta that went with focaccia in Italy.
In Spain we fell in love with the small big pleasures of quality time. Long sobremesas, a good meal and a good wine, lunch stretching almost into the afternoon snack at the same table, surrounded by family, friends and good moments. The calm Mediterranean life: rubbing bread with tomato, garlic, olive oil and coarse salt in Barcelona; fresh fried fish and dipping the bread, again and again, into the oil of garlic shrimp in a clay pot in Sevilla. And the nuts that always come with food on that side of the world, which is why we add them generously to our granola.
At the same time, María’s path in psychology and well-being led her to Ayurveda and yoga. Its spices found their place in our home kitchen, giving our food flavor and color, but above all, putting good digestion first.
Then Nico arrived, and everything took on a new meaning. Pranik was born when he was just one year old. María’s main intention was for him to eat as cleanly as possible, so she started making simple, healthy snacks and meals for him, knowing exactly what was on his plate. Nico is the reason Pranik exists today, and his joy is still the fuel that drives our lives.
Our life changed. The way we saw food crossed every border and became one of our most important priorities. In late 2025, life brought us to the United States. New home, same values: taking care of ourselves and eating real, good food whenever we can. Nicolás, who always believed in this project, never let go of the idea of reopening Pranik Foods in Miami. Luckily, his structure, his drive for continuous improvement in our production processes, his organization and his eye for detail motivated us to fire up the ovens again. And so we decided to rescue and keep the traditions that have shaped us, and to help people eat more consciously in what is now our new home.
Why Pranik? Our name comes from Prana, the vital energy that flows through all living things. In yoga and Ayurveda, it is the life force that connects body, mind and spirit. Every ingredient, every process and every person who is part of Pranik shares that same energy.
Everything we make rests on three pillars. Truth: real ingredients, honest processes, and telling you exactly what is in every product. Simplicity: few ingredients, chosen with care, and the time each recipe needs. Love: everything handmade, in small batches, cooked with intention and full attention to what we do.
Welcome home. Here, food is more than nourishment: it is care, connection and an expression of love. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do, or even more.
With love, Nicolás, María & Nico
